In partnership with Hickok Cole Architects, Cite Design developed an intriguing outdoor amenity package that supports the brand and lifestyle of Wellsmith, Libbie Mill - Midtown’s newest residential building. Featuring a total of 349 apartments, the building has two ground-level courtyards that host a variety of amenities fit for a convenient, active lifestyle.
A swimming pool with sunshelf and lap lane, grilling and dining areas, yoga and fitness zone, games area, putting green, a focal fountain on axis with indoor/outdoor fireplace, and outdoor entertainment lawn all provide opportunities for social engagement.
Key to the building’s design is the corner plaza that engages the streetscape on Libbie Mill East Boulevard and responds to the community’s focal - Libbie Lake. The plaza features four geometric raised planters with tapered wall widths and heights creating seat walls and spaces between the planters for compelling seating and gathering areas.
Within the planters, custom vertical light elements in a range of heights create a dynamic space, highlighting the functional and sculptural lighting features.
