In the heart of Richmond’s historic Windsor Farm neighborhood, Cite Design collaborated with DBAO on a home renovation to connect the home’s gracious interior with elegant outdoor living and entertaining opportunities. Our approach extended the symmetry of this historic home to provide privacy, simplicity, and functionality.

Drawing on the heritage of a beloved community high school, Armstrong Renaissance provides new, mixed-income housing and community amenities that encourage relationship building.
HISTORIC CHURCH HILL COURTYARD
The homeowners of this corner lot in Richmond’s historic Church Hill neighborhood had a particular vision for their courtyard; it was important to them to have a place to grill, gather for meals, and socialize around the fire pit.
LIBBIE MILL
This 80-acre mixed-use urban community captures the beauty and character of Richmond, with diverse public spaces that inspire and invite people to pause, explore and gather together along the serene banks of the Libbie Mill Lake.

A dedicated space offering a moment’s peace from demanding treatment or a hard day on the job, this garden courtyard offers a serene place for independent reflection or a quiet moment with others.
