In the heart of Richmond’s historic Windsor Farms neighborhood, Cite Design collaborated with DBAO on a home renovation to connect the home’s gracious interior with elegant outdoor living and entertaining opportunities. Our approach extended the symmetry of this historic home to provide privacy, simplicity, and functionality.
A new colonnade connects the garage and the main house while creating an inner courtyard with a focal water feature and intimate seating. On the other side of the colonnade, the sunroom opens onto an engaging patio and a relaxing pool centered on a pergola. A fence and screening landscape creates a sense of privacy and seclusion, while the muted plant palette creates a timeless atmosphere.
Cite Design provided a refined plan for the outdoor spaces, as well as hardscape materials and detailing, grading, and stormwater solutions.
